What makes YLM different from the rest of the league websites?
We consider YLM to be more than a website; we consider it a complete solution.
A website has schedules, team rosters, some contact information and usually lots
of pictures. These sites are sometimes sufficient for a single team or
very small league but for larger organizations it becomes more of an
administrative headache and not very informative. They usually require a
volunteer with web experience to update any and all information by themselves
and if that volunteer gets busy it is left undone. YLM allows for unlimited
administrators to update information through simple web forms and to use tools
like reporting and email.
Most websites do not have online registration built into it where the
information that is gathered from the parent and child during that process can
be used for things like roster assignment and automated emails. Once a parent
registers their child into the YLM system, they can be assigned to a team and
communicated to via email from the coach or division coordinator. In addition,
that same parent/child profile can register the next season or year for the
same organization or any organization within YLM.
As far as the look and feel of these websites, they can sometimes look overly
busy with fonts, colors and graphics. Unfortunately these sites can make it
difficult to locate information. YLM has a consistent look and feel for all
organizations so the information can be easily found when required.

I have seen other online league management tools that are more than just
websites, why is YLM different than those?
It is true, there are some online tools that have online registration, bulk
email capabilities and even allow multiple administrators. YLM believes there
are two main features that set us apart from the rest.
The first is one is a PARENT PROFILE CAN HAVE MEMBERSHIP IN MULTIPLE
ORGANIZATIONS. YLM believes no other solution can offer parents and
administrators the ability to have a single profile that can be part of
multiple organizations, whether these organizations are in the same town or
not. As long as an organization uses YLM, a parent can use their single profile
to register their child. In addition to having a single profile, a parent can
have different roles inside each of these organizations. A person may be a
parent in one organization, a division coordinator in another and even the
organization administrator in a third.
The second feature is the PARENT HOME PAGE. As each parent registers with an
Organization, they become part of the overall YLM system as mentioned above.
When a parent logs into the system, they are presented with a secure home page
that is specific to them. They can view and edit the information they provided
during registration for themselves and each of their children. This is
especially useful if their email, cell phone or emergency information changes
mid-season, they can make the change and anyone using the email or report tool
will immediately see the update information.
The parent home page includes a list of open registrations for the organizations
they have previously registered for, so they are always aware when new
registrations start and end. There is a section which shows each child's
membership in a specific League, Division and Team with links to all of the
home pages if more information is desired.
The parent home page also has each child's practices and game schedules for
their team only. Therefore, you don't have to navigate all over the site to
find one, two or three different schedules.

It is tough to get volunteers, we are afraid if we use online registration we
will not be able to meet the parents and try to get them to volunteer, how can
YLM help with this?
During the online registration process, there is a section for parents to
select a volunteer position or select 'no thank you'. There is no way they can
continue without completing this section and although it gives them an option
to say no, this step at least makes them think about it.
YLM can also help attract volunteers because they can see how easy it is to
assist in maintaining the organization. Once an organization is setup, the same
structure is used year after year, the Team names and coaches may change but
everything else is relatively the same. Volunteer coaches can see their team
information and contact their team via email, simply by viewing the online
reports or a few clicks in the email tool. They don't have to worry about
gathering the information in spreadsheets and creating their own email groups.
Division coordinators can create team rosters and either print team reports for
the coaches or allow them access to Team reports. They can create practice and
game schedules online and even ask individual coaches to update scores of their
games to automatically build the standings.

How does YLM charge for the service?
There is an annual fee of $120 and a per registration fee of $3. YLM
requires all parents and players to be registered within the system. A
completed registration is when a parent enters their information, their
children's information, selects a division for their child to participate in
and selects a payment method.

Are there any fees associated with paying by credit card?
Yes, there is a 2.9% + $0.30 transaction fee associated to each credit card
payment.

On a $100 registration fee, how much would my organization receive after all the
fees?
If the registration was paid through credit card, the organization will receive
$93.80, $100 - (($100*2.9%)+0.30)transaction fee - $3 registration fee.
If the registration was paid via check, the organization will receive $97,
$100-$3 registration fee.

Our organization can't afford all of the fees, what can we do?
The organization does not have to take all of the fees on themselves. Most
organizations using YLM have increased their registration fees a few dollars to
cover the costs. The parents will benefit with the online registration, a
single point of communication available 24/7 and a home page specific to their
children's practice and game schedules. In addition, the YLM registration
process allows you to change the price per division at anytime during the open
registration period. This allows late fees to be enforced and collected. These
late fees themselves can sometimes cover the annual cost of YLM

How does my organization receive the money from the registrations?
Each organization will be required to get a Paypal Website Payment Standard
business account. This account is FREE of charge and will require a valid bank
account to link to. YLM support team will work with each organization on this
basic process. Therefore, each registration paid by credit card or an
individual's Paypal account, will deposit the money into your organization's
Paypal account. Paypal is one of the most trusted E-Commerce sites in the
industry and allows you to issue refunds at the click of button as well as
generate and download reports

How and when does YLM bill my organization for the annual and registration fees?
During the organization setup, YLM requires a credit or debit card which will be
securely stored. This card will automatically be billed on an annual basis for
the annual fee starting one year after the initial annual fee is made. At the
end of every month in which your organization accepts or manually enters a
registration into the system, the same credit card will be billed the
registration fee.
